Subject and Association Description

Natalia Poltoratskaya was born in Moscow on January 8, 1944. She graduated from the Moscow Academy for Applied Arts and Design in 1969.

This example, like much of Poltoratskaya's work, is compendium of exuberant craft forms and visually rewarding, worked-over surfaces.[1] Her best works infuse genre-skirting complexity into craft-centered applied-artworks. Poltoratskaya's oeuvre is still not well known and further research is needed to more fully examine her artists development and influences.
