Raeburn Family Picnics and Holidays (slide 54/56)

About this object

The extended Raeburn family went on a number of picnics and holidays around 1889, upon which they took photographs and from which they had lantern slides made. There is more than one set here, as indicated by the different circular and rectangular frames. The same photograph sometimes appears across differently-framed sets as well as there being multiple copies in sets of like-frames.
One figure, a white bearded man, presumably the family patriarch, appears in a number of the images with a revolving cast of men, women and servants.
If you recognise the landscape, scenes (or, indeed the subjects) in any of the images, please leave us a comment.
