A Warrant of Appointment from the Lord Chamberlains office appointing Mr. Albert Arthur Chitty, a Waterman, a Place and Quality of a Waterman in Ordinary to His Majesty. Signed, stamped and dated 21 July 1936 by The Earl of Cromer, with cover letter dated 29 September 1936 and a envelope.

Crest at top with the text "HONI SOIT MAL Y PENSE, DIEU ET MON DROIT", and "Lord Chamberlain's Office". There is a stamp embossed stamp in red on the bottom with "Lord Chamberlain" The envelope is postal stamped in red ink and has a purple stamp "Lord Chamberlain, St. James Palace".
