Regal china Bourbon Whiskey bottle in shape of a Maori Warrior with green tā moko (facial tattoos) wearing a full length woven garment. The bottle has a seam across the upper torso area with the intact export seal label down the back. At his feet is a white panel with his name "HONE HEKE" in black text. Below his name is a silver gold and black brand label with a brown paper swing tag about Hone Heke hanging around the neck. The figure sits on a square black glazed base with a wind up musical feature underneath the figure. Music plays when the bottle is freed from the base.
At the time, the proceeds obtained from the sale of these collectors items were used to help maintain the athletic programme of the New Zealand Sports Foundation.
