Baw Baw Shire Art Collection help

Baw Baw Shire Art Collection is mainly landscape painting focused on the West Gippsland region east of Melbourne. Includes early 20th century to contemporay artworks with a number of notable public artworks. Of significance is 2 etchings by Victor Cobb one of Australia's poineer etcher/printmakers, both images are of the same pioneer kitchen 1914 and 1934.
The collection shows the development of the district from a early 20th century rural agricultural landscape to a early 21st century peri urban landscape. The collection came together with the local government amalgamations of the mid 1990's and reflects the eclectic individual taste of the people in the district. The collection is housed throughout council buildings including the West Gippsland Arts Centre and Federation Training, Warragul Campus
