Originally thought to be owned by Mr Robinson, owner of Chertsey Hotel, who would have carted supplies with it. It passed to Robinson's son-in-law Lambie, a nearby farmer. It was sold at his clearing sale in 1972 to Mr Prothero, a farmer living in Ashburton, who then sold it to Neville Hodgetts in 1989. It's thought that the Army commandeered the truck during World War II, then returned to its original owner. Bill Richardson bought this truck from Neville Hodgetts in July 1991.
