About this object

A small scimitar-shaped knife owned by Herbert Frederick (Fred) Hutchings (1888-1976) of Bergania and Bodalla.
The knife has a bakelite handle and the tin blade of the knife is engraved with the place names of battles that Trooper/Sapper Hutchings fought in and/or visited as part of the 6th Light Horse Regiment and then the 1st Field Squadron Engineers placenames in Egypt and Palestine during World war 1.
