Photograph of Fred Hutchings sitting at a water pump.
The photograph's title 'Pump 1 of 50' is most likely a humorous one as a major task of the 1st Field Squadron Engineers, was to meet the water needs of the men and horses of the Light Brigade. Fred was transferred to the 1st Field Squadron Engineers in June 1917.
