Ladies white Cesarine cotton double breasted, short sleeved uniform. The name of the hotel, the “Holiday Haven” is embroidered in red on the top left-hand side.
Label reads “Cesarine, Uniform Specialists, Sydney”.
Knee length, waisted with matching fabric belt, held by two matching buttons to complete the double breasted buttoning. Twelve white plastic and stainless steel buttons in two rows of six. Buttons detachable for washing by twisting the metal connecting ring and putting the shank through the small purpose made button holes. Once button in place they were buttoned in usual way through corresponding larger buttons holes. High necked collar, padded shoulders and fitted bodice with 4 panelled A-line skirt attached. Two patch pockets on skirt. Dress in good condition, no stains, a small rust stain on belt and waist but covered when buttoned up.

This uniform was worn by Miss Dora Egan during the time she worked at the Holiday Haven Motel, Moruya. Dora Egan was involved in many community organisations and was Moruya’s Citizen of the Year.Collection
