Orange Regional Museum help
More than just a building, the Museum interprets the stories, cultures and places of the region, displaying artefacts that trigger memories, engage audiences and inspire new ways of thinking about history and cultures. The Museum includes front of house space for both temporary and `permanent’ exhibitions, as well as a back of house area for loading and unpacking exhibitions, and exhibition preparation. The public spaces will also accommodate a visitor information centre, within the foyer, and a cafe and outdoor areas. It is anticipated that the new Orange Regional Museum will enhance the vibrant cultural precinct already established, with exciting spaces for exhibitions, innovative education and public programs, and collaborative interdisciplinary programs with the gallery, library and theatre.
