Sales brochure for 'Beauty Point Estate'. The front has a map of lots available, terms of sale, lot prices and an account of Beauty Point reprinted from The Exminer and Daily Telegraph, 03-03-1917. There is another account on the reverse, on which there are also photographs of the wharf, shipping and an orchard. Hedley Bennell of Launceston is listed as the local agent on behalf of TM Burke, Auctioneers, sole agents for the sale, Collins St, Melbourne. Beauty Point, on the Tamar River in Tasmania, Australia, was orignally called Ilfracombe. It initially developed as a deep water port to service Beaconsfield's gold mines, but became a significant port for northern Tasmania and was the principal port for Launceston.
