About this object

Object is a long thin hexagonal section, gold-plated metal mechanical propelling pencil with elaborate scroll decoration along the shaft and an ornamented round crown section having a flat round black onyx cap. The ornamented crown piece can be unscrewed to access spare lead refill storage and the lower end of the pencil manually telescopes out by sliding the plain hexagonal band that surrounds the shaft. Replaceable writing lead is 1 mm graphite.
