About this object

Leather bound bible with upper and lower hinged brass catches. Held by four triangular brass plates fastened at top corners (2) and bottom corners (2). On the spine are four (4) 2mm raised ridges run horizontally separating the spine into five (5) equidistant sections. Brass plates are moulded with a design depicting three (3) leaf clovers surrounding a cross. Short blue cotton ribbon protrudes from top of spine as a bookmark (deteriorating). Contains various illustrations pasted throughout. Number of pages unknown. Inside back and front covers is a red, yellow and grey wavy pattern of feather like appearance.
