Advertising fan for Restaurant Frascati

About this object

Folding fan – forme mouchoir.
Plain wooden monture.
Double paper leaf, the obverse with a chromolithograph of a female figure wearing a robe de style gown; holding a red feather fan in one hand she raises a glass of champagne in the other. The background has a gold portico – maybe a reference to the lavishly gilt interior of restaurant Frascati, located on Oxford Street, London.
The reverse is printed in monochrome blue with the words 'Restaurant Frascati' within a surround of wisteria.
