Folding fan advertising Japan Air Lines.
Monture: bamboo sticks and guards, lacquered black; metal rivet.
Mount: double paper leaf printed in colour on both sides.
Obverse: executed in an expressive painterly style and featuring a Japanese warrior on horseback with snow-capped Mt. Fuji in the background; Japanese inscriptions across the leaf; artist's seal lower right.
Reverse: inscribed on the left side 'In Commemoration of Crossing the Equator' and 'Date, Flight no., Name' (also in Japanese), 'Japan Air Lines' and company logo. Japanese calligraphy and Artist's seal on the right.
