The NSW Schoolhouse Museum of Public Education collects and protects furniture, objects, books, documents, and photographs relating to public education in NSW. The collection contains a wide range of objects with some dating back to the 1870s. Included are samples of pupil work, teaching equipment and resources. These items have been collected from closing public schools, Department of Education and Training donations, purchases, and personal donations.

The NSW Schoolhouse Museum of Public Education Inc. is an incorporated body managed by a voluntary committee. The collection is curated by experienced part-time staff. The education program is run by qualified teachers.

Open for booked school excursions Monday, Wednesday, Thursday during public school terms. Open for group tours, research and personal visits at other times by appointment - in school terms.
$5 per adult for group tours $12 per student for school excursions
Other FacilitiesThe Schoolhouse Museum is located close to the North Ryde shops and cafes. School students are welcome to lunch in the expansive grounds of North Ryde Public School.
