This is an antique French pewter medicine spoon. The flip portion of the spoon has a number of French markings and numerals. A similar castor oil spoon is shown in the Reference: Pewter of the Western World 1600-1850, by Peter & R.G. Hornsby, Schiffer Pub., Sep 1, 1983.

This item was once part of the 'Merritt Museum of Childhood' in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, USA.
