Name/Title

Shore Street, Applecross

About this object

A postally unused postcard entitled "Shore Street, Applecross".

This is unusual in that it is a contemporary circa 1940s image that gives the settlement its correct name, and doesn't mislabel it as "Applecross Village".

The surface of the road is still alrgely dirt, rather than gravel, so suggests a relatively early date.

A small boy is visible in the picture beside the sea wall, halfway along the road.
