About this object

A black and white reprint of a group of friends from Mataura on a beach trip in the mid 1930s. The truck belonged to Lindsay Rowe of C. Rowe and Sons who operated a coal pit Coal Merchants in Mataura from 'Boghead' pit between Dun's Road and the Winton turn off on the outskirts of Mataura. The Rowe family business ran from 1923 to 1942.
