This image depicts Poole Bros General Store on the corner of Moran and Resolution Streets, Hughenden in the late 1920s. To the left of the store on Moran Street is pictured the owner's residence.

Poole Bros opened for business ca.1920 and this successful family business continued for the next fifty years. The Poole family sold the general store in 1970 to R&M Gazzard.

Today (September 2011) the shop on this site is still in operation as a grocery store/supermarket.
