About this object

A black and white photograph of Brodie Street, Hughenden in the 1920s. This photograph was taken from the intersection of Brodie & Gray Streets, looking eastward.

On the left is the Central Hotel and W.A. Younie Saddler as well as many of the shops on Brodie Street at the time. On the right is the old Bank of New South Wales, which, in the late 20th century, became the Flinders Shire Public Library.

Also of note in this photograph are the men walking & talking on the street and also the vintage motor vehicles.
