Salt glazed stoneware ginger beer bottle with tan brown glazed neck. Transfer printed label on front in black ink reads 'W. J. ROSS/ STONE/ GINGER/ BEER/ PORT MACQUARIE'.
William James Ross, known as Bill, [1886-1966] purchased the Port Macquarie cordial business of Edward Haydon (also spelt Hayden) sometime between 1917 and 1919. Ross sold the business to William Henry Marshall [1888-1954], known as Bill, in 1920.
