Research Center, Visual Studies Workshop help

The Research Center at the Visual Studies Workshop preserves research collections of photography, independent film and video, and artist’s books. VSW’s focus on the aesthetics, as well as the cultural history and social use of images has inspired a collecting policy that encompasses both creative work and vernacular objects, as well as items that represent the history of media use. Our Research Library contains over 25,000 books and periodicals, and is open to the public by appointment.
