About this object

Alta Ruth Hahn was an amateur photography who was active throughout the 1930's. She was born in Springfield, Illinois in 1901, and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1922. She began working for Sales Magazine in New York in 1928, and became the editorial vice president in 1959. The author of "Shop Talk About Selling," she was also the recipient of 1958 Business Woman of the Year award.

This photograph depicts a number of boats in a harbor. Based on similar images which are titled as being in Gloucester, MA, it can be assumed that this image was also taken in the Inner Harbor. One of the boats visible here has "Rosemarie Gloucester" written across the hull as well.
