About this object

Betty Hahn is an American photographer who is most-known for working with alternative processes. Hahn received her BFA and MFA from Indiana University, working originally in painting and drawing and moving on to photography in graduate school. She studied under Henry Holmes Smith. After graduating, she lived in Rochester until 1975, teaching at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Her embroidered pieces in particular deal with issues of femininity and arts and crafts.

This is a Vandyke print of a couple (identified by the artist as Roger and Lori) with a bouquet of flowers that have been hand stitched onto the image with colored thread. There is also embellished white thread throughout the image.
