About this object

Jerry Uelsmann is a prominent American photographer of the 20th century whose work challenges the viewers’ sensibilities as to what is real and what is logical. Uelsmann uses the technique of “combination printing”, the layering of multiple negatives on top of each other in the enlarger.
This postcard was Jerry Uelsmann's Christmas card. In the image, Uelsmann stands a top a rock formation and stares into the background.
