About this object

Oversize green cloth bound edition of John Bunyan’s work, decorated with Art Nouveau illustrations and borders by three artists inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite movement: George Woolliscroft Rhead, Frederick Rhead and Louis Rhead. This edition by C. Arthur Pearson in London in 1898, and given as a prize to Mrs Mary Bolton by the Penarth PSA in 1903.
