About this object

Barbarians jersey, believed to have been worn by G V Evers when he toured with the Barbarians in the 1902-03 season. During the spring tour, Evers played three out of the four matches, against Penarth (won), Swansea (lost) and Cardiff (won). There is no number on the back of the jersey, which may mean that this jersey is from the match in which he did not play, against Devonport.
