Name/Title

General Accouterment Vest

About this object

Navy coloured load bearing vest with five separate compartments to hold various accouterments. This version was trialled but not put into use.

The GAV vest was developed due to a lack of space on police utility belts and to address back complaints and injuries being attributed to heavy utility belts. The GAV semi rigid construction assists in spreading the weight of accoutrements.
