About this object

Jubilee the circus horse first appeared in the 1930's with a Pierrot marionette. Since that time it has appeared with both Baldo & Belsa, Mme Blondin and Willie the Clown (see photographs). Details of both the design of the horse and the complex stringing were found in later editions of Waldo Lanchesters book "Hand Puppets and String Puppets" (See images)
