About this object

Very small clew iron, would be attached to the clews (corners) of a sail. The sheets (lines that control the sails) were then shackled to them. 3 circular pieces of iron joined. Part of a collection of 12 artefacts salvaged from "Bayard" at Ocean Harbour.
