About this object

A collection of seven wooden patterns used in a foundry to cast machine parts. All cylindrical in shape. Part 1 - large block cylinder with rebated shoulder. Part 2 - small ring like cylinder. Part 3 - three tiered cylinder large to small. Part 4 - block cylinder with spindle like knob top and bottom and flared shoulder. Part 5 - block in series of 5 discs. Part 6 - cylinder through ring shape. Part 7 - 2 part, small peg like top, curved shoulder, cylindrical body, flared skirt and cylindrical base. Flat inner surface with locating pegs.

There is evidence that Crown Lynn used F. & W. Fowler Ltd founders, but it is not known if the company made the wooden patterns. Could have been made in house at Crown Lynn.
