About this object

Looking across the Timaru Railway Station yards to the Harbour, circa 1889.

The photograph has been taken from a high vantage point, probably from Evans Atlas Flour Mill. Sailing ships are moored on the north side of the breakwater, as well as at and near the Moody Wharf. The North Mole appears to be under construction.
