2004.46.2 (A20/2) Original volume of the Mangonui Educational Minute Book 1876-1902.

Mangonui Educational Minute Book dated 1876-1902. Schoolroom classes in Mangonui commenced under the first Board of Education in January 1858, in a building also used as a church, with Mr Henry Grover as the first teacher. A new school was built in 1870, in Tasman Street, and a larger one in Mould Street in 1884, which was progressively extended over the years.
