My Sister, my self

About this object

Rising to a height of almost three metres this sculpture portrays a black seal of extraordinarily high polish balancing on his nose a copy of Marcel Duchamp's seminal 1913 sculpture 'Bicycle Wheel', among the first and most famous of the 'readymades' that unlatched a new approach to sculpture at the outset of the twentieth century.
