The first Waimate County car rode in the 1929 procession celebrating the Borough Jubilee (1879-1929). A long procession carried trade displays from the serious to the comical, 3 local bands and a Maori display and poi dancers. Mr JL Collins (County Clerk) and Mr Stewart ride the car.

The car is curca 1904/4 it is a curved dash oldsmobile made in america not N,Z,
