About this object

Photograph; of a group of men outside a stone building. Four men are seated on a low bench, and two men are standing behind, one of whom holds a small child. The three seated men have raised glasses, and the man at the right holds a decanter of alcohol. The man standing behind is pouring into the seated man's glass from a bottle. The building depicted is the Shamrock Hotel, Ophir. The photograph is mounted onto a green card backing. On the reverse is written 'Back left Donald McRae / Holding daughter (Margaret) / (Mrs Drake).' In blue ballpoint is written 'Shamrock Hotel'.

Mrs W Drake was postmistress at Ophir Post Office circa 1930s.
