Tukituki or Pounder

About this object

A tukituki or pounder, also known as a patu, patu muka, kuru, or potuki. It is made from wood, cone shaped and has cracks and chips. This tukituki was found by Alan Preston on his fathers land (Geoff Preston) during the 1990's about 50 metres below the summit of Wynyard Hill, Old Waipu Road, Mangawhai Village.
