About this object

Turtle shell hook on a pearl shell which has 2 front protuberances that make the lure jump on the surface of the water, like the movement of a small fish. Used for trolling.
Not a Maori artifact but possibly from the Solomon Island. Similar hooks seen in reference book at Auckland Museum.
Excellent condition.
