About this object
Mike Gibson is one of the most celebrated Irish rugby players. He represented Ireland from 1964-1979 and earned 69 caps, a record that was not overtaken until 2005. Gibson also toured with the British Isles Touring team five times and became the first ever international replacement in 1968 during the South African tour after Barry John was injured during the match at Pretoria. This 1970s jersey sports the Irish emblem on the front with Gibson’s number 12 on the back.
