This iconic drawing was used by London Transport to advertise their tram service to Twickenham.
This is the original artwork by Dame Laura Knight. Over the years, London Transport have produced a wonderful range of posters promoting their services to sporting and cultural venues. Twickenham’s absence from the tube network means that rugby union does not feature heavily – however their tram service in the 1920s gave rise to this striking image.
