Wooden panel on which illustrations of a pirate scene and a mermaid have been etched using brown ink.

The panel was presented to South Georgia research station by the crew of the Ostrovsiky- a Russian fishing trawler. During this period (1970s) there were many Russian fishing trawlers in South Georgia fishing Pategonian tooth fish.
