NZ native wood, silver mounted, possibly a whalebone handle. Engraved "Kororareka, July 1844". And "JT 1905", decorated with flowers and leaves, engraved. Handle octagonal. Length 33 3/4". Once the property of James Andrew Tapper a signal man.
