About this object
Morrow Productions Limited, owned and operated by Robert S Morrow and Michael H Walker, was inaugurated in 1951. The company began by making educational documentary films, becoming well known for animation, live action and TV commercials. Through text, press and publicity, artwork and forty-eight black and white photographs this album depicts Morrow and Walker’s personal undertaking of the setting up and renovating of the Morrow premises in Levin in 1952, and the company’s early operation. Content covers equipment design, scripting, storyboards, animation, photography, background painting, set lighting, film editing, direction of talent, collaboration with composers, and production of the following films: ‘The Story of Soil’, ‘What on Earth is Happening?’ (1957) and ‘Volcanic Power’ (1962).
