About this object
Sarah Geering was born 2 November 1838 in England and married James Peppercorn in 1874. The sketches we have in a small sketch book were done when she was a young girl in England before she came to New Zealand with James and their six children on the 'Hermione' 28 January 1887. Sarah died in Cambridge on 17 June 1914 and is buried in the Leamington Cemetery.
