About this object
Walsh's Dig at Queen Street (now Subway) produced mainly household items, although signs of military occupation were evident. The badge with its centre removed is a uniform cap badge from the 15th Foot Regiment, East Riding Yorkshire dating from 1874-1881. The toothbrush remains are stamped with the name "E B Hill, Chemist, Cambridge" (late 1890s to 1920) and the button is from a NZ Railway uniform, circa 1905.
