Gus Fisher Gallery

Help
The Gus Fisher Gallery of The University of Auckland provides an exhibition programme in the visual arts consistent with the mission of The University of Auckland, which aims to foster, publish and disseminate research and creative work of the highest academic standards at a national and international level, informed by the bicultural context of Aotearoa/New Zealand and the Treaty of Waitangi.

The Gus Fisher Gallery is located in The Kenneth Myers Centre. This building was restored by The University of Auckland in 2000; it was originally RNZ Broadcasting House then later became the home of TVNZ.

As a historic building many heritage features are retained in its glass dome, detailed cornice and doors of inlaid wood. The Gus Fisher Gallery was made possible by a donation from Mr Gus Fisher.
