About this object
WW2 campaign or 'lemon squeezer hat', worn by Max Wallis after the war when he was repatriated to England after being a POW in Germany for two years. He was captured in Orsogna, Italy. Hat is khaki felt with a green, red, green puggaree band around base. Centre front is a bronze 'NZ Onward' badge.
