The drawing is done from the postion of Col Morrows house on the parade near the BB junior yacht club.The wooden wharf was demolished during the WW2 about 1941 in case the Japanese invaded.The island is Rangitoto. Just behind the 4th tree from the left was a shop.Picnicers would arrive by boat from the city and have picnics in the shade of the trees.The piles of the wharf are still visible after a storm-at the west end of Wharf Rd.
